Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 19, 2026
Front Row Pass ("Front Row Pass," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Front Row Pass mobile application and website (together, the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and a password (stored as a one-way hash — we never store or see your plain-text password). If you sign in with Google or Apple instead, we receive the identifier and email address those providers share with us, and no password is created.
Family and member information
When you create or join a family, we store the family name, the family's member list, and any labels (names and colors) you assign to family members to organize calendars — for example, labeling a calendar by a child's name. These labels are entered by the account holder; children do not create their own accounts or submit information to us directly.
Calendar and event data
When you add a team or activity schedule (via an ICS calendar link), our servers fetch that publicly published schedule and store the event details it contains — titles, dates, times, and locations — so they can be displayed and synced within your family. We do not send your personal information to the feed source; we only retrieve publicly available schedule data from it.
Push notification token
If you enable notifications, we store a device push token so we can alert you and your family about new, changed, or cancelled events. This is sent through Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service.
Calendar sharing link
Each family has a unique calendar link that can be subscribed to in external calendar apps (Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook). This link acts as a private key to your family's event feed — anyone who has it can view those events, so treat it like a password and only share it with people you trust.
Biometric login
If you enable Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint login, the authentication itself is handled entirely by your device's operating system. We never receive, see, or store your biometric data. Only an encrypted login credential is kept in your device's secure storage to let the OS unlock it after a successful biometric check.
Automatically collected information
Our servers automatically log standard technical information (such as IP address and request timestamps) for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the app.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and secure your account, and authenticate you on sign-in
- To operate the family and subscription model — including sharing family and member names, and event data, with people you've approved to see your family's calendar
- To fetch and refresh team/activity schedules you've added
- To send push notifications about schedule changes, new events, and family membership requests
- To maintain the security and reliability of the Service
3. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Within your family: the family owner and approved subscribers can see the family's member labels, added schedules, and event data.
- Service providers: we use Firebase (Google) to deliver push notifications, and Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple to support OAuth login. These providers process the minimum data needed to perform those functions on our behalf.
- Legal reasons: if required to comply with the law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Front Row Pass, our users, or others.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account, family, and event data for as long as your account is active, so the Service can keep working the way you expect. If you request deletion (see below), we delete your account and associated personal data, except where we're required to retain limited records for legal or security purposes.
5. Your Choices and Rights
You can update your display name and notification preferences from within the app, and remove team feeds or family members you manage directly in the app.
You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data at any time from within the app: tap your profile icon, then "Delete Account." If you own a family, deleting your account also deletes that family — including its schedules and events — for every member subscribed to it, so review the in-app warning before confirming. For other requests — such as access to or correction of your data — email us at [email protected] from the email address associated with your account. We will verify your request and act on it within a reasonable time, consistent with applicable law (including rights available to California and EU/UK residents under the CCPA and GDPR, where applicable).
6. Children's Privacy
Front Row Pass is intended for use by parents and guardians (18 years or older) to organize their family's schedule; it is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Family member labels (such as a child's name) are entered by the adult account holder for organizational purposes only. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information directly, contact us at the email above and we will delete it.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted password hashing, hashed refresh tokens, expiring authentication tokens, and encrypted transport (TLS) between the app and our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Users
Our servers are located in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app.
